Modern is a constructed format in Magic: The Gathering in which players build 60 card decks with cards from Eighth Edition forward.

DECK CONSTRUCTION

A Constructed deck contains a minimum of 60 cards, being:

• 60 cards you will shuffle up and start the game within your deck zone.
• Players may have up to a 15 card sideboard
• With the exception of basic lands (Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, Forest, and Wastes), your combined deck and sideboard may not contain more than four of any individual card.

Tournament Structure

• Participation fee is 5€ per player.
• The number of rounds will depend on how many players there are.
• Each round will last for 50 minutes.
• The event will be capped at 30 people.
• Round 1 begins at 18:15. Please let us know in case of late arrivals so we can accommodate.

Prizes

• The tournament fee will be given out as store credit and divided up as follows.
• If you break even the you are guaranteed to get your entry fee back as store credit.

• Set promotional items will be given out for the top 8 placed finishers
• As an added treat there will be a 5% discount on all Magic the Gathering related products during the event available only on location.

House rules

• Drinks & snacks are available on location and outside sources are not allowed.
